To all:
For your information. I was stationed with Anthony Intrepido in
Europe, and we met during Operation Joint Endeavor (Bosnia). Dennis Palalay
has presented this type of information at a number of conferences. Together
they will certainly present some good information.
Highly recommended.

Course Content:
ACGIHR is presenting a webinar focused on the role the environmental
health and safety (EH&S) professional plays in planning and responding to
emergency events. Emergency response planning is known by many names hazard
planning, business continuity, and disaster planning, just to name a few.
However it is labeled at your organization, emergency response planning is a
critical business need for today and beyond and the EH&S professional plays a
critical role in the process. Their role is not only to ensure that those
initially affected by the event are protected, but to protect the responders
and all members of the incident command. In most cases the EH&S
professional must collaborate with all departments within an organization to execute a
proper emergency response plan. The plan generally anticipates and
prepares for incidents that take place within the walls of the organization, but
more and more the EH&S professional is asked to develop plans that take into
account "unplanned events" such as natural disasters, utility outages, and
chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear weapons (CBRN) events and
other catastrophic incidents of national significance. This webinar will
walk through the critical steps in planning and operating, discussing various
types of emergency events, and describe the elements of a successful
response plan.
Presented by - Anthony J. Intrepido, MS, MPH, CIH and LTC Dennis Palalay,
MS
