[AIHA Membership] Healthcare Pollution Prevention Workshop September 1, 2009

 To all:

      This workshop is very interesting and timely, and does not necessarily have to be restricted to those who work in Health Care.  Many of these topics are important to industry and government as well.  I recommend you read Dr. Fukino's letter, which provides very good insight into the topic.

      I will send off the request to ABIH right away, to see about getting approval for this workshop for certification maintenance points.  I will keep you informed of the outcome.

      The professionals at the Hawaii State Department of Health have been strong supporters of Hawaii AIHA for many years.  Let's please help them have a good workshop - pass the word to friends and colleagues who may also be interested.

I understand that you are the AIHA local chapter president.  We are having a Healthcare Pollution Prevention Workshop on Sept 8 & 9 at the  Ala Moana Hotel and would like to invite you and your members to attend the workshop.    There are concurrent sessions geared towards facilities and the clinicians on ways to minimize solid and hazardous waste, dealing with fuel and energy conservation, green buildings, etc.  We hope that you and your members will attend this very important workshop.
