Good  afternoon! 
AIHA offers media training  opportunities at AIHce, and as a local section 
officer, we wanted to extend a  special invitation to you to be part of this year
’s training.   
The training is free and will last  four hours, taking place on Sunday, May 
31,  from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The AIHA media training  workshop will focus 
on teaching IH and EHS professionals how to communicate  about IH and related 
scientific and technical topics to the media.   
The workshop will include detailed  information on working productively with 
the media as well as opportunities  for hands-on mock interviews using the 
skills learned in the first half of the  training. This workshop, with its 
extensive use of video-taped exercises  coupled with real-life examples of IHs in 
the news, enables all attendees to  master the art of media management and 
become more comfortable in front of the  camera.  
AIHA is engaged in an aggressive  campaign to gain media attention for the 
profession and improve business  leaders’ appreciation for the contribution IH 
and EHS professionals make to  workplaces and communities. By joining the ranks 
of IH and EHS professionals  who have already benefited from this workshop, 
you strengthen AIHA’s ability  to articulate key messages in support of that  
effort.
