Increase membership

Increase by 10% from 2005

·         Host Friday night events

·         Promote IH activities to membership and the community

·         Participate in Hawaii State Science & Engineering Fair as judges and present 4 annual  $100 awards  

·          

Professional Development

·         Host minimum of 2 TeleWeb seminars

·         CIH review course attendees number at least 20

·         Increase AIHA Hawaii visibility in Hawaii and nationally

·         Market AIHA TeleWeb seminars

·         Market CIH review course and try to partner with HIOSH to include this  annual review course in core training curriculum of HIOSH inspectors

·         Encourage members to present at ASSE 2006 Pac Rim, AIHce and other such conferences

·          

Meetings

·         Conduct a minimum of 4 meetings per year

·         Hold variety of meetings including tours, social events, joint events with other health and safety organizations. 

·         New topics of interest in Hawaii might include silica, bird flu, electrical safety, etc.  

·          

Website

·         Update website at least monthly to keep membership informed of upcoming events etc.

·         Update with job postings, events, minutes

 

·          

Hawaii Legislation 

 

 

·         Testify at Legislature on bills of interest to AIHA Hawaii members

·         Obtain National AIHA approval for any testimony

·         Encourage HIOSH Advisory Committee to also testify
