  • Sponsored January CIH review course with Steve Levine- 20 attendees - 7 from Canada
  • March 2005 National AIHA Leadership Workshop - Hawaii section is presented the
    "Educational Excellence Award" for sponsoring the most telewebs in 2004 and
    having the highest number of attendees
  • AIHA/ASSE joint meeting 3-18-04: Carolyn Pearl presents
    "How to Control Workers' Compensation Costs"
  • 2 days of PDC specializing on Ergonomics, Mold issues and Root cause analysis.
    Sponsored Professional Development Courses in conjunction with the
    Governor's Pacific Rim Safety & Health Conference (April 2004) with emphasis on Mold,
    Ergonomics, Multiple-Root Cause Analysis, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis.
  • Tom Grumbles, National AIHA Past-President presents on "Control Banding" on 11-8-04
  • Provided 4 awards at Hawaii State Science fair.Provided 4 student awards at
    Hawaii State Science & Engineering fair.
  • Sponsored One day SBDC/AIHA/ASSE/HIOSH seminars controlling
    Workers' Compensatin cost seminars around the state.
  • Provided testimony to the Joint Energy and the Environment committee.
    AIHA was requested to be the primary lead organization on the Molds working
    Group to assess the potential to set standards in the state.
  • We were elected to the HIOSH advisory committee.
  • We submitted a grant proposal to the Chamber of Commerce to support the
    Hawaii Alliance for Health and Safety effort to provide a Hawaii safety and health E-news letter.
  • We increased membership by approximately 20%. 
  • Provide testimony to the Department of Agriculture to support the import request of
    Diagnostic Laboratories in their efforts to be the first labs in Hawaii certified under the
    AIHA Environmental Microbiology Laboratory Accreditation Program. - This was in 2003.
